I want to share something with you. Recently I and my friend attended a competition and took part in it. There I received the award for taking part in the competition. I won the 1st prize for my competition. The trophy is such that I liked it very much.

AGM 2013
Hi Everybody ,

This years AGM will be Friday 8th of March , looking to start about half 5 with the meeting in the QM* and then off to the Lansdowne for a club meal ! For those who don't know , the AGM is our annual meeting where next years committee will be decided.

The AGM is one of the best nights out of the year so I encourage everyone to come along ! It is COMPULSORY fancy dress so you have about 3 weeks to get thinking and I expect the usual high standard !

 Anyone can run to be on the committee with the positions being :

Commodore - In charge of the overall running of the club.

Treasurer - Looks after the clubs finances

Secretary - Liaises with GUSA , organises membership , minutes + much more.

Trips Sec - Organises trips

Competitions Sec - In charge polo teams , organises divisional polo matches , organises SUS + slalom , NSR , WW Racing.

2 Shipwrights - Responsible for keeping all the boats in working order. Also buys club kit every year + general upkeep of    the sheds.

Social Sec - Organises socials , nights out , Xmas Meal , AGM Meal , Pub Quizes + any other nights out !

Publicity Sec - Updates Fbook Page , tries to stop spam , liaises with sponsor , helps promote club during freshers week.

Ordinary Member - Sorts out hoodies every year , helps out in general when needed.

Being on the committee is very rewarding and I would suggest it to people who feel like they can contribute something to the club. There is a great variety of positions so Im sure if you could find something to suit yourself. If you would like to know more about the positions you can speak to current or previous members ( I will make a list below ) .

GUSA Ball
For those interested: GUSA Ball will be on the 9th of February this year. Tickets and more information will be available at a later date but those who intend to go might want to pop it on the calender.
